LITTLE ROCK, Ark.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
Windstream Corporation (NYSE: WIN) announced today that it has completed
its acquisition of Lexcom, Inc., based in Lexington, N.C., for
approximately $141 million in cash, net of working capital acquired.
Windstream adds approximately 23,000 access lines, about 9,000
high-speed Internet customers and about 12,000 cable TV customers in the
transaction, which expands the company's North Carolina operations.
Lexcom generated $44 million in revenue, $15 million in operating income
and $23 million in operating income before depreciation and amortization
(OIBDA) in the twelve months ended Sept. 30, 2009.
Windstream estimates the transaction will be accretive to free cash flow
in the first full year after expected annual synergies of approximately
$5 million in operating expenses and capital expenditure savings.
