Windstream Corporation (NYSE: WIN) today announced that it has
successfully completed its previously announced offering of $400 million
aggregate principal amount of its 7.875 percent senior notes due 2017.
Windstream expects to use the net proceeds of the offering, together
with cash on hand, to finance the cash component of the purchase price
of the previously announced acquisitions of D&E Communications, Inc.
("D&E") and Lexcom, Inc., to refinance certain indebtedness of D&E in
connection with the acquisition, to pay related transaction fees and
expenses and for general corporate purposes.
