Windstream Names John Leach to Lead Business Sales

LITTLE ROCK, Ark.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Windstream (NYSE: WIN) announced today the appointment of John Leach as senior vice president of business sales. In this role, Leach will be responsible for the company's business sales and sales support organizations. He previously served as South region president for PAETEC Communications.

"John has more than 20 years of telecommunications and sales experience," said Brent Whittington, chief operating officer for Windstream. "His background uniquely positions him to aggressively lead our business sales efforts as we transform our business to a broadband and enterprise model."

Prior to joining PAETEC in 2007, Leach was president and chief executive officer of Covista Communications. He also has worked for BellSouth, BTI Communications and Telco Communications Group.

Leach earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Va.
